Pensava apenas na sobrevivência. Aroldo, inteligente e criativo não teve seus dons naturais explorados o tanto quanto precisava, durante infância e adolescência. Com dezoito anos, sem orientação, nem estímulos, se envolveu com más companhias. Nem passava pela cabeça construir algum projeto para o futuro. Na escola fez o mínimo necessário para ser aprovado. Imaturo, dava sempre um jeitinho de satisfazer seus caprichos imediatos. Ganhava um dinheirinho aqui, outro ali, com “bicos”. Assim o tempo passou. Já adulto, agia como adolescente. Mal formado, sobrevivia precariamente. Não cresceu. Assim como criança, só tinha o princípio do prazer imediato. Não esquentava a cabeça com nada que pudesse exigir bom senso, até porque ele não tinha. Não se desenvolveu em nenhuma área profissional para ocupar espaço saudável no mercado de trabalho. Ajudava na feira, eventualmente, no mercado, na padaria, por ai…Em compensação, desenvolveu enorme charme e poder de sedução. Atraia mulheres de todos os níveis e tipos. A malandragem da rua transformou-o num rapaz muito esperto, encarando com valentia qualquer situação de briga. ” Bom de briga”. Essa qualidade todos reconheciam nele. Motivo de seu orgulho. Reforçou sua identidade social. Conheceu na boemia, aos vinte e sete anos, Laura, o seu grande amor. Classe média alta. Ela, assim como Aroldo, adorava cair na gandaia. Morena bonita, gordinha, sensual. Profundos olhos negros e cabelos de, “noite sem luar”! Tinha um gingado só dela! Enfeitiçou o coração de Aroldo. Ele passou a depender dela em tudo. Até de seu dinheiro. Principalmente! Ela representava o ar que ele respirava. Laura tinha um perfil de caráter parecido com o de Aroldo, porém, teve a “sorte” de nascer numa família mais estruturada. Seus pais se preocuparam com sua formação e futuro. Laura formou-se em assistência social, curso que se encaixou bem com o seu perfil. Rápida ascensão! Carreira promissora. Tornou-se diretora de uma ONG que cuidava de crianças carentes. Isso ela levava a serio! Laura também se encantou pelo charme de Aroldo, assim que foram apresentados por uma amiga em comum. Ela, com autonomia financeira, nem ligou pela situação precária de Aroldo e nem pela sua discutível identidade. Apaixonou-se perdidamente pelo seu jeito carente e malandro. Nem pensou muito se iria dar certo ou não. Resolveram se casar. Contrariando a vontade de sua família. Combinaram entre eles, que ela bancaria por uns tempos as despesas do casal, até ele se encaixar profissionalmente, em qualquer coisa! Casamento realizado. Muita festa. Muitas expectativas. As noitadas cheia de danças e tesão, depois do casamento, foram muito curtidas por um bom tempo, mas, gradativamente, diminuindo, assim como a paixão avassaladora que Laura sentia. Alguma coisa dentro de seu coração já não fazia mais sua pele arrepiar quando seu Aroldo a abraçava. Passados quatro anos de tentativas e erros, Aroldo, nunca se acertando profissionalmente, Laura deu um basta ao relacionamento! Cansou de tantas desculpas e queixas que Aroldo arranjava para não se assumir como um homem adulto. “Cansou de alimentar vagabundo, dizia ela”! Problemas acumulados. Contas a pagar! Laura já não queria mais continuar a sustentar o ego inflado de seu marido, sempre colocando na má sorte, sua falta de realização na vida. Não reconhecia e nem admitia que estava acomodado. Sentia que tinha perdido tudo. Como seria a sua vida, agora? Confusão emocional intensa, mágoas, angústias e muitos conflitos. Durante esse processo, adoeceu, sem conseguir se reerguer. Laura, continuava, impiedosa. Irredutível. Numa tentativa final, buscando recuperar a “mulher de sua vida”, Aroldo contratou uma serenata com músicas preferidas de Laura. Seria no dia do aniversário de casamento, completariam quatro. Laura tinha esquecido completamente da data. A serenata tocou para uma janela vazia! Naquela noite, Laura tinha saído com João Ricardo. Seu novo amor. PÉTALAS VERMELHAS. LÁGRIMAS DE SANGUE!
